“Streets” of Venice

With only a few hours in Venice, I was only able to capture a tease of what this romantic city had to offer. The narrow alleys and endless canals were initially my main focus, but I soon realized that the locals and visitors in them was a story being told, and captured…

Taking advantage of the moment

I never really tried shooting with a focus on fashion so I decided to take advantage of a moment. A moment when I was lucky to have a beautiful date in an amazing dress at a pretty cool location. I also made her freeze in the rain in the last shot.

Art from Above

I headed west away from the city to try and photograph some landscapes...from a birds eye view. After about 5 minutes of flying and trying to compose a shot, the low battery warning came on. I knew I had a couple more minutes left and I still didn't get a shot off yet so I kept it in the air.  Then the panic began as the "Critically Low Battery" popped up and the drone went into auto safe mode, descending the drone straight down...down into the forest about a few hundred feet away from where I stood. My heart was pounding and my mind was already visually running through the woods. I magically took it out of auto mode and regained control of it just before it fell below the tree line...lesson learned. Last image is from our Lake Tahoe trip.
